It FINALLY happened....

My American Idol fave FINALLY won this year. Every year, I pick the runner up as my fave. Every. Year. Clay Aiken? My pick. Bo Bice? My pick. Blake Lewis? My pick. The only exceptions to the rule were season one, which I didn't watch, and season five when my favorite Chris Daughtry got eliminated in fourth place... but I think we all know how THAT turned out.... (Take THAT, Hicks and McPhee!)

This year, however, David Cook (my favorite Idol contestant EVER) actually won the whole damn she-bang. And not only did he win, but he won by TWELVE MILLION VOTES in the BIGGEST Idol finale ever. Hells yeah, baby.

It was just so beautiful. I mean, HE'S beautiful, but the moment when he won and when he started crying, he was even more beautiful. Everything about that moment was just gorgeous. Just thinking about everything he's been through this season what with the judges licking that OTHER David's boots every week while Cookie took some beatings (from Simon in particular...I will never forgive Simon for making fun of David being a "word nerd." Simon's an idiot. Word nerd=UTTER HOTNESS.) and of course his brother's battle with cancer, I was so thrilled that David and his entire family could celebrate something so wonderful. When his younger brother mouthed into the camera, "That's my brother!" I just about started bawling. So sweet. And as usual, his voice made me melt as he sang his victory song. I absolutely adore him, and I can't even truly express how happy I am for him. Needless to say, I can't WAIT to buy his album, and I'm possibly buying American Idol tour tickets so that I can see him live, if only for a few minutes. *swoon*

Well done, my sweet David C. Well done.

P.S. The duet between David and ZZTop on "Sharp Dressed Man," one of my favorite songs EVER? Absolutely friggin priceless.

Ho. Lee. CRAP! (SPN Reaction)

KANSAS! WOOT! I had my doubts that they would bring the awesomeness back, but I shouldn't have worried. "Carry On!"

Dude, from "Wanted Dead or Alive" on, I was bawling my EYES out. It was so heartbreaking to watch them sing that song, to know that this was the last time that they would be laughing together, riding in Metallicar together, just generally being our boys, before the deal came due. So. Friggin. Sad. When the lyrics hit Dean full on and he got all stoic and teary-eyed? GAH!

Also, Bobby: "Family don't end at blood, kid." *sobs* Bobby! *flails*

Sprinklers + holy water = PURE FUCKING AWESOME

I knew that Lillith had left the little girl when the mom kept begging Sam to stab her. I was terrified that Sammy would stab her and that Dean would run in the room seconds afterward and inform Sam that he'd seen Lillith in someone else. Thank goodness that didn't happen. Could you imagine the angst that would've resulted from THAT? Killing a little girl WITHOUT a demon inside her IN FRONT OF HER MOM WHO WAS BEGGING FOR IT TO HAPPEN? YEESH.

Fucking Lillith in fucking Ruby's body.... I called the plot twist just before it happened, but I still jumped a mile when Dean screamed that it wasn't Ruby. Bitch.

When she let the hell hounds in and they attacked Dean, I might have gotten slightly hysterical. The gore was a little too realistic for me. That sort of thing never really bothers me (Okay, last week bothered me too, but I actually got more squeamish about Jared's eyelids being taped open than all the blood and gore.), but this time I was really disturbed. Jensen was amazing, the way he was screaming and trying to escape. We've seen Dean panic before, but this was WAY worse than that. It was so devastating. And then there was Jared's supreme acting job. Sam screaming Dean's name and begging Lillith to stop? Killed me. You could just hear what he was thinking as he watched Dean get torn to shreds. I was bawling again, not to mention screaming for Sam's powers to kick in so that he could escape Lillith's hold or summon the knife or SOMETHING. The fact that he managed to stop her just a few seconds too late makes Dean's fate even sadder. (But still, go SAM for putting the fear of God into that bitch, if only for a few seconds! I hope next season he tracks her down and beats the ever-loving shit out of her for what she's done to Dean!)

That last minute of film, holy shit.... Sam crying over Dean's mutilated body, the zooming through Dean's eye, the image of Dean alone in hell, in major pain (Holy fuck, did you guys see the big-ass hook through his SHOULDER? *faints*) and screaming out Sammy's name in desperation. It was more than I could take. I cried for fifteen minutes, and now I'm STILL sniffling and it's been almost two hours since I finished watching.

Jared and Jensen deserve fifty Emmys each for this episode alone. No one can tell me that they don't because they were fucking A-MA-ZING tonight. Congrats, boys, and to the rest of the crew at SPN on a job well done. I'm so in love with the work that you all do, you have no idea.

And now? The Hell-atus of all Hell-atuses begins. This is WAY worse than season one and Metallicar crashing (I know with that cliffhanger, we weren't sure if we were coming back at all, whereas with this, we're at least assured that we'll get another season to explain things. But still. DEAN'S IN FUCKING HELL. IT JUST DOESN'T GET WORSE THAN THAT.) Fucking Kripke, sending Dean to fucking hell. I just KNEW he would do it because he's KRIPKE after all, but I was hoping that maybe I was wrong and that Sam could pull his powers out of hibernation and kick Lillith's ass. But alas, that was not the case. My boys! I hate seeing you both in so much pain! *sobs*

Never in my life have I wanted to skip an entire summer before. Screw warm weather, vacations, and flip flops. I WANT MY BOYS BACK TOGETHER AND SMILING AGAIN, DAMN IT!

P.S. I haven't watched it back yet, but didn't Lillith imply that she killed Ruby? Does this mean that Katie is leaving the show? I knew they were getting rid of Lauren/Bela, but I thought I had read somewhere that Katie would be coming back next season? Maybe not?

Feel free to squee or sob your brains out in the comments. I'm here for mutual support, whether you prefer hugs or some cookies and milk. Also, death threats for Kripke are always welcome. *g*

Heath Ledger just died....

I feel like somebody just punched me in the gut. I'm just waiting for the press release that says it is all just an elaborate hoax. Like when people kept saying that Sinbad and Cory from Boy Meets World were killed in car accidents.

Heath just can't be dead, he just can't. He was so talented! He had so much promise! I thought he was the next Johnny Depp! And he's got a little girl who's, what? Two years old at most?

It's all just too sad for words.

And right after Brad Renfro's death as well, which wasn't as much of a shock but still sad. I loved him in "Tom and Huck" and "The Client."

Rest in peace, boys.

Bru's Top Twenty-Seven Songs of 2007

I did this a couple of years back, I think. The following are twenty-seven songs that had some sort of effect (good or bad) on my year.

1. "Apologize" by OneRepublic and Timbaland - This song ATE UP the airwaves of radio around here, but I was glad because I never got sick of it. I first heard it during So You Think You Can Dance when Danny (THE AWESOME!) danced to it. Can't remember who he danced with. Just remember Danny and this awesome song. Hee!

2. "Before It's Too Late" by the Goo Goo Dolls - I have loved the boys of Goo since I was ten or so, and this song just made me love them even more. It's become the theme song of the novel I've been writing, and my iTunes says I've played it over fifty times since I reloaded it onto my computer. Plus, it gets extra points for being the love theme for Sam and Mikaela in "Transformers."

3. "Hey There Delilah" by the Plain White T's - There was no escaping this song this year, but I didn't care. Whether I was grooving to it in the car, or crooning to it with Autumn and my mom just before the midnight showing of Harry Potter 5, I was loving it to death. It never seemed to get old! Wish I could be Delilah to some guy....

4. "The Way I Are" by Timbaland and Keri Hilson - Dude, I friggin ADORED this song even though the lyrics were just short of ridiculous. I even used it as my ringtone for a while. Of course, this might be because I first saw it used during one of Neil's (MY FAVORITE SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CONTESTANT EVER!!!!!) performances. Might've made me a little biased, I don't know.... *g*

5. "Sober" by Kelly Clarkson - I'm a HUGE Kelly Clarkson fan. That being said, I didn't buy her last album because I didn't like what I heard of it beforehand. This song, however, was the one exception. It is completely beautiful and shows off just how gorgeous her voice really is. I much prefer this mellower side of her to the trying-too-hard rocker side.

6. "Heaven Forbid" by The Fray - Just when I thought I couldn't love The Fray anymore than I already did, I went to their concert in Columbus in June, and I fell in love all over again. I didn't think it could be possible for them to be better live, but damn it they were. I can't wait until their next album and tour. Go FRAY!

7. The entire "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" Soundtrack by Hans Zimmer - I simply couldn't pick just one track, so I just decided to include the whole album. I was so excited for Pirates 3 this summer and went with my family to the sneak preview the night before it's true release date. As I expected, it was AWESOME and I loved how everyone's stories came out, even the Will and Elizabeth love story whose ending I know a lot of people were upset about. Anyway, I bought this album the very next day, and I've been listening to it ever since. It's my writing soundtrack for when I'm writing my novel, and it brings back wonderful memories of the entire Pirates trilogy which I will always love no matter what. Take what you can! Give nothing back!

8. "The Sweet Escape" by Gwen Stefani and Akon - If I ever have to hear Whoo-hoo! Whee-hoo! again, I'm going to jump off the roof. I hated this song with a passion because of it's annoying chorus and because it was VASTLY overplayed in our area. But that's what makes it so memorable!

9. "Glamorous" by Fergie - So damn catchy that I couldn't get it out of my head for most of the summer. I had a quite the love/hate relationship with this one, but ultimately? Love.

10. "What I've Done" by Linkin Park - The BruBros have always loved Linkin Park, so I was shocked when I loved this song more than they did. I cranked it up LOUD whenever it came on and headbanged my ass off. (Is that an oxymoron?)

11. "Umbrella" by Rihanna - When this song was popular, I wanted to kill myself. But now, looking back, it reminds me of summer and all of the good times I had this year. And now I actually like it!

12. "Renegade" by Styx - Best use of mullet rock on Supernatural EVER. Period.

13. "Nobody's Perfect" by Hannah Montana - Yes. I watch Hannah Montana. And I listen to her songs. And I like it. Sue me.

14. "How Far We've Come" by Matchbox Twenty - They're BAAAAAAAAAACK! Rob Thomas is a god, and this song is a tribute to his fabulousness.

15. "Summer Love" by Justin Timberlake - A great song to drive to with the sunroof open and the sound cranked up. Perfect summer grooving song.

16. "Wait For You" by Elliot Yamin - A very sweet and catchy ballad that made my ears perk up every time it came over the radio.

17. "What You Want" by the Original Broadway Cast of Legally Blonde: The Musical - I caught a showing of LB:TM on MTV one day and INSTANTLY fell in love. I love the movie, but the Broadway show is even BETTER. I got the soundtrack for Christmas, and I've been grooving to it ever since. I definitely recommend everyone to check it out!

18. "Are You the One" by the Presets - Yet another So You Think You Can Dance song! This time it's the song for Neil and Danny's DUET. So much hotness, so little time.... Oh, and the song rocks too.

19. "S.O.S." by the Jonas Brothers - During our last trip to Disney, they played this song NON-STOP and BruBro2 was about to strangle himself. I think I like it just because it got on his nerves so badly. Hee! Good times, good times....

20. "You Can't Stop the Beat" by the cast of Hairspray - Between So You Think You Can Dance and the actual movie of Hairspray, I heard this song a LOT this year, and I couldn't help but smile and sing along every time I did.

21. "Never Too Late" by Three Days Grace - THE most played song on my iPod and the one that I propose to be the theme song of the third season of Supernatural. What with the whole Dean dying storyline and everything, I think it fits perfectly.

22. "Stronger" by Kanye West - I dare you to listen to this song and NOT bob your head to the beat. It's friggin impossible, I tell ya!

23. "I Don't Dance" by Chad and Ryan in High School Musical 2 - Yes, it's true. I love High School Musical. Even though I'm almost twenty and should be beyond such things. I can't help myself. I'm a cheese magnet. The baseball/dance-off number between Chad and Ryan? Cheese-tastic in the BEST possible way. You can't make me hate it, okay? You just can't!

24. "Better Than Me" by Hinder - I love this song's chorus, and whenever I hear it I think of summer and cute boys and how I DID turn out to be better than CuteGuy this summer. Hell yeah! Sorry, sweetie, I'm moving on to greener pastures!

25. "God's Gonna Cut You Down" by Johnny Cash - Not only is Johnny Cash the MAN, but this song was a part of the BEST SUPERNATURAL PROMO EVER!

26. "That's What You Get" by Paramore - Best new band of 2007 by FAR is Paramore in my opinion. I have both of their albums and I just can't get enough. This song is my favorite from both albums and I think I've been singing it in my sleep I've listened to it so much. Hee!

27. "Famous Last Words" by My Chemical Romance - An incredibly epic song that I originally started listening to because it reminded me of Supernatural, but has become a part of my listening habits outside of my Supernatural playlists. Just a wonderful, amazing song.

And there you have it. Twenty seven songs to sum up my 2007. It's been a great year, and I can't wait to discover the music that I'm gonna love in 2008. Here's to great music and great memories! Woo!

The only reason I ain't signin is cause you've turned into some hoity-toity Yankee bitch, and I'd like nothing better right now than to piss you off. rynnalyn and magus_69

6. Woman: Well, that's a fine thing. We're married one minute and you're throwing me out of the house the next. Man: I am not throwing you out of the house, I am not throwing you out of the house, I am not throwing you out of the house. Will you get out of here?

7. Why should Caesar get to stomp around like a giant, while the rest of us try not to get smushed under his big feet? What's so great about Caesar? Hm? Brutus is just as cute as Caesar. Brutus is just as smart as Caesar. People totally like Brutus just as much as they like Caesar. And when did it become okay for one person to be the boss of everybody, huh? Because that's not what Rome is about. We should totally just *stab* Caesar! rynnalyn

8. Help. Police. Murder. reprintgoddess

9. Say, you're a lot smaller than my last master. Either that, or I'm getting bigger. Look at me from the side. Do I look different to you? magus_69

10. Sometimes you can still catch me dancing in it.

11. Could you describe the ruckus, sir? reprintgoddess

12. Not that I condone fascism, or any -ism for that matter. -Ism's in my opinion are not good. Girl: Would it kill you to try? Boy: Yup. And I'm too young to die.

19. This is the ocean, silly. We're not the only two in here.

20. Yeah, 'cause you know what? He never appreciated you anyway. In fact, *you* kicked *him* out and now that he's gone you're gonna go into town, go to Bloomingdales, find some nice dresses, you know, maybe find somewhere you can get, you know, a facial, and hire a decorator to come in here fast because... damn. jerseybelle77

Well, that was freakin HARD. Picking the movies themselves was pretty easy, but choosing JUST ONE quote from each one was like pulling teeth. Okay, leave your guesses below!

F-list Meme

Stolen from mrscutedean aka Charli:

I know very little about some of the people on my friends list. Some people I know relatively well. (some I probably know too well, hahaha. but trust me-- I never met a cut tag labelled "tmi" that I didn't click INSTANTLY.) I read your journals, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But no matter what, I love that you give a damn enough to stop by my place.

But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself? Any old thing at all, the more trivial and fascinating, the better. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...they enjoy nose-picking on balmy summer evenings, and have a giant birthmark shaped like a wilderbeest on their right buttock." (hey, I told you I loved those tmi cut-tags.)

I'd love it if every single person on my friends list would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal and see what gems of knowledge appear.

Just to break the ice, I'll go first:

The very, very first crush I ever remember having was on Jonathan Taylor Thomas during the VERY early days of "Home Improvement." I think I was, like, six or something. My tastes have changed a LOT since then. Hee! Also, I always drink iced coffee, even in the dead of winter when people are giving me "Is she on crack?" looks because I just can't stand the taste hot coffee. And finally, there is a hole in the butt of my absolute favorite pair of jeans (mid-blue, non-stretch American Eagle Artist cut for anyone who cares), but you can't really see it and so I refuse to throw them out. I am, however, afraid that one day I will be out shopping and split my pants. Which will be really embarrassing. But I'm STILL NOT PARTING with my jeans! EVER!

Okay, your turn!

It's Snowing!!!

*dances* It's snowing! It's snowing! YAY!

I *heart* the first snowfall of the season, especially when we get a couple of inches of accumulation. Everything is all white and glittery and beautiful. *sigh* I just love it!

Did anyone else watch the final part of "Tin Man" last night?

While I wished we had gotten a bit more closure at the end (What happened to the characters after the sun came back out? Did Glitch get his brain back and go back to being Ambrose? Did Cain go back to being a tin man? What happened to DG's robot parents?), I still enjoyed every minute of it. Loved that DG was able to save Az in the end because I was sure that she was going to die in a sacrifcial move to save the O.Z. How creepy was that witch? *shudders* She was right out of my childhood nightmares.

I think my favorite scene was when DG met the Grey Gale. While I knew that Dorothy's last name was Gale and that DG was most likely supposed to stand for Dorothy Gale, it didn't occur to me that DG wasn't supposed to be THE Dorothy in the story, that THE Dorothy was DG's great, great, great grandmother or whatever and DG was just her descendant. Totally blew my mind. It was so awesome when she walked through the door and found the same farmhouse that she'd grown up in and the original Dorothy in her gingham dress...all in black and white! LOVE! What a great tribute to the original movie!

Cain made me cry when he was talking to DG before they snuck into the castle for the final time. When he hugged her after giving her crap for hugging everyone else? Oh man, it was open floodgates, I tell ya. Hee! But the rest of the night I was cheering him on as usual, especially when we found out that he'd locked Zero into the same tin body that he'd been trapped in for so many annuals. How awesome was THAT? WOOT! Go, CAIN!

Although sweet and important to the journey, I didn't care much for Raw in the first two parts of the series. It wasn't until DG was talking to him about his courage that I really connected with him. "Raw did all that...for DG." AWWWWWW! *hugs Raw* I'm putting the whole thing on DVD today so I might see him in a better light a second time around.

Toto is a total badass. 'Nuff said.

As for Glitch, who was probably my favorite character in the whole thing, closely followed by Cain, I loved when they entered the Brain Room and he finally reconnected with the missing part of him. "I'd recognize me anywhere!" Hee! Also loved when he was shocked unconscious and Cain had to revive him and he was all out of it again. "Hello. Do I know you?" Hee! Also, I loved in part two when Glitch was talking about dancing and rhythm and stuff before kicking Longcoat ASS in front of a bemused Cain. "Like I said, it's all about the rhythm." Hell YEAH! Go, Glitch! Alan Cumming is so AWESOME! If he doesn't win an Emmy for playing Glitch, I will be so pissed. In fact, the only person he should feasibly lose it to would be Neal McDonough, as he was fucking awesome as Cain and also deserves an award thrown his way.

Anyway, I hope they release this on DVD one day with lots and lots of special features because I would totally be one of the first in line to buy it. The only thing that would've made this any better was if it had Johnny Depp in it somewhere. Hee!

Macy's Parade

There was a CARE BEAR float in the Macy's Parade. SO. CUTE. *flails*

Also, I laughed really hard when Al Roker grunted in pain when that acrobat fell and crushed his partner's...ahem...family jewels. Hee!

My favorite performance so far was the Jonas Brothers. I can't help myself, they're just so darned cute! Stop laughing at me, damn it!

OMG, it's Kermit!

*does Will-Ferrell-as-Elf impression* SANTA!
My brothers.... *shakes head* They just sent me this in an e-mail, and you guys HAVE to see it. Let's just say that it involves Sam and Dean (or Jensen and Jared, however you wanna look at it) getting a little TOO involved in the Christmas spirit.

Video here

They did it to annoy me, but it backfired because I think it's really friggin funny.
DUDE!

Dear sweet Lord, my heart stopped when HRG "died" tonight. I know that we've known for a while about Isaac's painting and everything, but God, I didn't think he would REALLY die. I thought maybe it would turn out to be a misunderstanding and that he was faking it or something. So when Mohinder ACTUALLY SHOT HIM I started freaking out. BruBro1 and I were in total shock. I was near tears and swearing in a squeaky voice and cursing Tim Kring and stuff, especially when Hiro started going on about "as long as we follow our fathers' examples, they will live on in us forever" stuff. I really believed that he was dead and gone, and I was starting to have flashbacks to when Lost killed off Boone and how upset I'd been then.

But thank God they revived HRG with (presumedly) Claire's blood at the end. Whew. I was shaking I was so relieved. HRG is one of my favorite characters on the show and it would have killed me to see him die like that, at the hands of Mohinder (Who I'm totally not speaking to now, BTW. I don't care how cute he is. Taking the side of Bob over HRG? That's close to unforgivable, people!).

BruBro1 and I agreed: West was not nearly as gratingly annoying in this episode. In fact, we kind of...liked him.... I know!

Also, I totally called Adam being the one who killed Hiro's dad. Hiro is SO gonna kick his ass for that soon, and I'm really looking forward to it. Hee!

I really hope this writer's strike is ended soon because the thought of only two more episodes of Heroes for the entire SEASON is killing me. Gah!

I'm bored....

I've got a lot of stuff that I could be doing right now: catching up on my NaNoWriMo word count because I'm light years behind where I should be, watching the Blockbuster DVDs that I need to return soon, reading the next book in the "Twilight" series that I bought a couple of weeks ago and haven't even picked up yet....

But I don't feel like doing any of that, even though all of those things are way better than just sitting here and being bored.

*sigh*

I'm such a dweeb.

I registered for all of my classes earlier today so I'm excited to have gotten that done. I'll be taking basic English and algebra, this kind of bogus Liberal Arts course that they require all freshmen to take, and a Sociology course called "Comparing Cultures." I do have to have books even for the online classes, but I'm not going to buy them yet because they're not going to have all of them in until after Thanksgiving. And HOLY CRAP my algebra books alone are going to cost me $200. YEESH. I checked Amazon to see if they had them cheaper or possibly used, but they don't carry that particular curriculum it looks like. *sigh* On the bright side, I just found out that one of my credit cards has had its credit line extended by $2,000 so I could put some of my books on it without it maxing it out or making my credit look bad, I guess.

My mom and brothers are putting the final touches on some Christmas lights outside right now, but I've got cramps so I can't help them even though I want to. *is sad*

Instead, I'm watching "Armageddon" right now. I *heart* this movie. I know a lot of people hate it, but I just adore it. It makes me smile, despite its sad ending. After all, most of the movie is hilarious! (The Russian astronaut and Owen Wilson's character are a couple of my favorites.) Anyway, I remember we saw it at the drive-in when it first came out, and even though I was just ten at the time, I still remember bawling at the end. It was the first movie I remember seeing where our main "hero" actually didn't make it to the end credits. Pretty traumatizing for a ten year old. But still, I love the movie to this day.

How has everyone else's Saturday been so far?

Test Results and Other College Stuff....

I took my placement test for college today, and...drumroll please.....

...I did really well! Whoo-hoo! Load of stress off of my mind! I got the highest possible score in the "sentence structure" portion of the proceedings and did really well in all of the other areas...except for algebra. I was a little under average, but I've always sucked at algebra, so no big surprise there, I guess. Hee! I was really nervous this morning, but all of the counselors and people at the school were EXTREMELY nice and helpful so I calmed down pretty quickly. On a similar note, I want to thank all of you for your well wishes and good luck yesterday. I really appreciate your support! It made me feel better while I took the test to know that even if I screwed up you guys would be here to comfort me with cookies and hugs and Sam and Dean love. Hee! And the best part is that now we can have all of that in celebration instead of in mourning! *passes around hugs and cookies and various Sam and Dean clones*

I also got my financial aid results back today, and while I'll have to pay for my books myself, I only have to cover about $150 for my tuition each quarter (unless, of course, I choose to take additional credit hours) so that's incredibly do-able. And this first quarter, since I still don't have my own car yet, I'll take my classes online and there's a possibility that I might not have to buy any books at all. WHOO-HOO!

I'm a total nerd, but I'm kind of looking forward to taking classes again. Just looking through the course catalog, I was like, "Oooh! Shiny!" Yes, I know. I need help. *g* Tomorrow I'm going to register online and possibly pay my bill for my classes as well. Then, other than going to get my student ID on campus, I won't have to do anything until January when classes start. I can enjoy my holidays without any more worries!

Maybe college won't be so scary after all! *is happy*

Really quick SPN squee....

I'm gonna make this quick because I have to go take a college placement test tomorrow (Keep your fingers crossed for me!) and need my rest, so....

Some thoughts about the episode in totally random order:

At the beginning when Dean cut himself to lure Mercedes McNab out of hiding? HOTTEST. THING. EVER. Who knew knives and blood could be so sexy?

Speaking of knives, someone needs to go back and count how many times someone used a knife in this episode. It seemed like someone was holding one in every scene.

Also? Dean sharpening knives? SECOND. HOTTEST. THING. EVER.

I was kinda bummed that Jesus Guy got killed. I thought they'd keep him around longer than
that.

"Fangwhores" cracked my shit up!

The two headless fangwhores made me sit up in my chair and say, "Dude, did he...he didn't...shit!"

Gordon has always scared the fuck out of me, but tonight he was in rare form. *shudders* As soon as he became a vampire, I had to watch him through my fingers. THAT WAS SOME SCARY SHIT, PEOPLE! The scene where he was stalking Sam? I don't think I've ever been more scared by this show. I was shaking I was so freaked out. I was certain that Sam was going to get turned when Gordon finally attacked him. Thank God he didn't. But Sam POPPING GORDON'S HEAD OFF WITH SHEER FORCE AND A CHAIN (or whatever the hell that was...I couldn't see very well from behind my fingers....)? That was so FUCKING INSANE! Sammy, what are you becoming?

Best part of the ep? Toss-up between the Sam "You're my brother and I look up to you!" speech (THE PUPPY'S LIP WAS TREMBLING! SOMEBODY HUG THE PUPPY!) and Dean teaching Sam how to repair Metallicar. WAS KRIPKE TRYING TO KILL US TONIGHT? I mean seriously! My heart was shattered into thousands of little pieces! I cried during the car scene. It was so sad! The look on Sam's face when he realized what Dean was suggesting? Like a little boy whose big brother is finally letting him play with his toys? It was so sweet! And Dean saying what he did about Sam needing to know such things for the future.... The one WITHOUT DEAN? GAH! I was bawling like a baby. After the Puppy's chin trembling big brother speech, I had crossed into SamGirl territory, but I returned to being BiBro by the end of hour thanks to the car scene. They're both so damn precious, I just couldn't possibly choose between them!

I'm so bummed we don't have a new episode next week. WHO CARES IF IT'S THANKSGIVING? What's there to be thankful for without our boys? Huh? TELL ME! *sighs*

Aw well. We can all be miserable together, I guess. *hugs all around*
*sings* Ohmigod, ohmigod you guys!

Dude, this afternoon I watched "Legally Blonde: The Musical" on MTV, and I am now SOOOOO addicted. What a brilliant Broadway show! I loved the movie and everything, but the musical took it to a whole other level. The humor was better, the characters were even more lovable than before (I didn't think that was possible!), and the story even got a boost by giving Emmett and Paulette better backstories.

Laura Bell Bundy who plays Elle is the most talented chick I've ever seen. I have a serious girlcrush on her now. She's so cute! *smishes her*

And the rest of the cast is great too! You can tell that they're having the time of their lives performing in the show which just makes me all warm and fuzzy on the inside. I miss my days in dance and theater. There's nothing like performing to get your blood flowing!

Ohmigod, ohmigod you guys! Seriously, I loved it, like, so much! I put it on a DVD and everything and I'm going to buy the soundtrack ASAP. I've found a new obsession, people! WHOO-HOO!

Late Night Randomness

I was talking to my mom this afternoon about my f-list's adventures at the Chicago Con, and she goes, "Wait. So Jensen and Jared were there with a whole bunch of other people from the show?"

"Yeah."

"Why didn't you tell me? We totally could've gone too!"

*facepalm* NOW SHE SAYS THAT! I didn't bring it up because I didn't think she would go with me and I KNEW she wouldn't let me go alone, even if I met up with people like Wee or Kat. Now I feel like a total douche. *kicks self*

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BruBro2 broke the screen on BruBro1's laptop today during a temper tantrum. He threw a bag of Jolly Ranchers at it and it broke the screen. Our parents offered to pay the full repair bill (since it can't be repaired under warranty and since BruBro2 doesn't have a job to pay for it himself), but BruBro1 (who is actually a pretty stand-up guy) just said that he'd take care of it. I think they'll probably end up halfing the bill so that my parents can have some peace of mind. In the meantime, I kinda enjoyed the drama. Who knew the damage that a bag of Jolly Ranchers could cause? Hee!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"The Breakfast Club" is on right now. I heart this movie so much. *loves*

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm already Christmas shopping on the internet. Today, BruBro1 and I bought our mom a replica of the Christmas tree in Charlie Brown as well as a replica of Linus's blue blanket for her to wrap around the bottom. We're think we're going to give it to her for her birthday on the 30th so that she can use it this Christmas instead of waiting until next year. It is SO cute. I think these links went around last year in other people's journals, but here's what they look like:
Tree
Linus's Blanket
They also have the Whoville tree from The Grinch here. Maybe we'll get that one for her next year. I know she's going to flip over the Charlie Brown tree though.
Hope everyone else is having a good Monday!
So You Think You Can Dance!
WOOT! Just got back from So You Think You Can Dance 2007 Live on Tour in Cincinnati, and I am still sooooo pumped!
The show was GREAT. It kicked so much ass it's not even funny. I screamed myself hoarse I was so happy to be there. They performed all of my favorite dances, and we had AWESOME seats. We were seven rows back on the right side of the stage, dead even with the front half of the stage. We could see all of them SO WELL. Neil, Danny, and Pasha were so adorable, I can't even tell you, and Dominic (NOT A BREAKER) was absolutely hysterical all night. All of the guys looked exactly like they did on TV, but I was shocked by the girls. On TV they all looked thin, but in real life, they're not much thinner than me. AND THEY ALL HAD MY THIGHS! My ugly, thick, muscular thighs! Their thighs were like mine! (Except for champion Sabra, but she's a tiny piece of fluff so I wouldn't expect her to.) In all of my years of dance, there were probably only two other girls who had muscular thighs like mine. But FIVE of these girls had MY thighs. In some weird, twisted way it made me kind of giddy, like I could be a part of their club. Hee!
Every single one of the routines was amazing so I would be hard-pressed to pick a favorite but the last two, Sabra and Neil's table dance and the "You Can't Stop The Beat" finale, were definite highlights, mainly because we were all screaming so loud by that point. Hee.
For souvenirs, I bought a program, a pair of striped legwarmers with the SYTYCD logo on them, and a t-shirt with Neil's (NEIL!!! SQUEE!) silhouette on it. And now my pocketbook is $85 lighter. But I have no regrets because the show was JUST. THAT. AWESOME!
They showed a lot of video montages (including one that showed the five best falls from all three seasons of the show that literally made the entire audience wince and turn away. Good times....), and my favorite was a bunch of outtakes from the show with the cast goofing off with one another. You can tell they're a really tight knit group, which just makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.
I'm definitely going to miss this bunch of dancers. I feel like I know them somehow, as if we used to pass each other in the halls of my dance studio or something. I hope all of them go on to have wonderful lives and careers because they've definitely touched me and reminded me how much I love dance in all of its many shapes and forms. Another season will come around next summer, but I will never love a group the way that I love these guys. So to Season Three's dancers, thank you. You've been an inspiration to many, and you've touched my heart with your passion, your smiles, and your strength. Good luck to you all!
I have one word for everyone.
TUXES.
GUH! Dean walking down those stairs? I was literally jumping around in my chair with glee. I simply couldn't contain myself. It was a good thing I was watching it alone the first time around or I would have been teased by my brothers for weeks. Hee! They were both SO FREAKIN HOT in those tuxes, dude. So. HOT.
Okay, and one more word.
PIRATES.
How cool was that ghost ship? Loved the way the victims could drown on dry land. And the pirates dissolving into water effect at the end? AWESOME! But unfortunately, I think the special effects crew is cutting into the Mullet Rock budget. I have mixed feelings.... I miss the mullet rock, damn it!
Poor Sam was cracking me up with the old lady. The downing of the champagne! BWAH! He was so squicked out by her! *hugs Sam* It'll be okay, hon. You can have hot sex with me, you'll forget all about the creepy old lady. *g*
And Dean hyperventilating over the Impala (Don't mess with Metallicar, Bela, you bitch!) made me die laughing and want to give Dean a hug at the same time. *giggles* Between that and the rich brother calling Metallicar crappy, Dean got to show his protective side for his baby. Awwwww!
And okay, I have to admit...I kinda like Bela. Even with her evil Metallicar stealing ways. I know, I know, but I just can't help myself. She's one of those characters that you love to hate. I mean, she's so much fun with the bitchy snark and her obvious crush on Dean. Her face when Dean walked downstairs was classic! Hee! And ANGRY SEX! Hello? I AM SO THERE. (Dean taking a moment to contemplate her offer was just so DEAN that I died laughing.) And now I'm all interested to find out about her past. *sigh* Damn Kripke and Ben Edlund for making me kina like one of the new girls.
And weesta is so right about Bela being an A/U version of Hermione. That's exactly what I said when I first heard her talk. "Where have I heard that EXACT voice before...? Dude, it's Hermione!"
Random love: Dean's ray of hope at the beginning about possibly being out of his deal. Dean asking Bela about her daddy issues. The James Bond-esque music during the tux reveal. Sam's face when Gert was whispering in his ear. Dean snatching an hor'duerve after Bela fainted. Dean making fun of Bela just before he left to get the hand. The security guard thinking that Bela was cheating on Dean while he was in the bathroom. Sam's hot latinating. Watching Bela spew water after everything she's pulled over on the boys.... So many little things to love!
And finally, I heart Sammy so much for his speech in the Impala at the end. "I want you to give a crap that you're dying!" YES! ABSOLUTELY! *smacks Dean* LISTEN TO YOUR BROTHER! Everything that Dean said about thinking Sammy was stronger than he was was sweet, but Dean has GOT to find some self-worth or I'm going to kill him myself.
Fave lines:
"I know it wasn't me, so unless you were shooting at some incredibly evil cans...."
"She was a smart ass."
"Bite me." "Not if she bites you first."
"...Over 150." "Wow! Crap!"
"You SHOT me."
"Can I shoot her?" "Not in public."
"You really want to come near me when I've got a gun in my hands?" "Now, now, mind your blood pressure."
"You guys aren't cops! Not dressed like that and driving that crappy car!" "No need to get nasty!"
"Hey, you moron, we're trying to help you!"
"It's just that lately I feel like I can't save anybody."
"A hand of glory? I think I got one of those at the end of my timed massage last week."
"What are you, a woman? Come down already!"
"Don't objectify me."
"We can crash anything, Dean." "Yeah, but this is easier and a lot more entertaining."
"He was shy too.... Until I got BELOW DECK." *pinches ass*
"You're so damaged." "Takes one to know one."
I'm sure there were more, but I can't think of any right now. *sighs* I just love our show. I can't wait for next week! Crazy Gordon's back! Woot! And Sam had a machete! Boys with knives! *is giddy*
DUDE! *points*
I'm totally geeking out over a "Home Improvement" episode on Nick At Nite right now.
Why you ask?
Because the great Bobby Singer (aka Jim Beaver) was a guest on Tool Time, showing Tim and Al special mouse traps.
I literally squee'd out loud. BruBro1 was not amused. But I don't even care because it was BOBBY! Eeeeeeeeee! *flails*
NaNoWriMo update and EVIL PLOT BUNNIES!
Woot! I just passed 5,000 words for my NaNoWriMo novel. *dances* Is it bad that over 4,000 words of that are just the first chapter? *ponders*
Of course, I would be a lot farther along but EVIL FANFIC BUNNIES have been distracting me. Are they bunnies to help push forth my damned WIP that I just want to finish and get it over with? Oh no. Of course not.
These bunnies involve one of the characters from the WIP having sex with Dean on a pool table in an empty bar. (And no, I'm not telling who, on the off chance that any of you are even remotely interested. Hee.) We're talking hot, rough, I-hate-you-so-much-but-God-I-have-to-have-you kind of sex that's fun to write and get out of my system, but that's not actually POSTABLE fic until I at least finish the damn WIP. GRRRRRRR!
On the other hand, I also have Supernatural/Pushing Daisies crossover bunnies hopping around in my head that spiritofkt inspired. I much prefer these bunnies. *pets them* I mean, I love hot sex fic (who doesn't?), but these bunnies are much more fun to play with. They involve pie and the undead for heaven's sake! What's not to love? *g*
Okay, I'm off to write now and play with the plot bunnies some more. I hope all of you who are participating in NaNoWriMo or Mini-NaNoWriMo are keeping up with your goals as well! Good luck!
